Case Studies - The Kilns, Wrenthorpe
Developer: Bramley Homes
Development: The Kilns, Wrenthorpe, near Wakefield
GDV: £3.85 million
Scheme: 30, 1 & 2 bedroom apartments
Bramley Homes and CALA Finance (Yorkshire) have joined forces to develop this exciting, new £3.85 million apartment scheme. This is the first scheme that CALA Finance have funded for Bramley Homes although CALA Finance has worked with the directors of the company on other schemes they have been the appointed contractors.
In years gone by a thriving pottery industry dominated the area, today the vicinity to the cities of both Wakefield and Leeds means this is an ideal location for a new generation of people looking for easy access to these vibrant, urban centres, yet in a rural setting which is just 1 mile from J41 of the M1 motorway.
The easy access to Wakefield City Centre, excellent transport links yet being on the fringe of beautiful countryside also mean the development will appeal to those looking to down size from larger homes in the area.
So rather than an archaeological dig, it is more a case of new foundations being laid for this development which will provide 30 modern one and two bedroom homes, all with allocated parking spaces and contemporary specification.
David Whittaker, Managing Director for CALA Finance (Yorkshire) comments:
"The Kilns will be an attractive and eye catching development in a great location which combines convenience to the nearby cities as well as the countryside just on the doorstep".
He continues:
"When we look at funding a development it is imperative that we use our experience of the residential property market to make an objective assessment of the merits of a scheme. In the case of the Kilns it has plenty - an attractive development, an ideal location and bright and modern living accommodation which we think people will enjoy living in."
The apartments are ideally located on Bradford Road with 6 apartments being located at one side and 24 apartments to the opposite side of the road.
