Two new showhomes open at Duloch Grange, Dunfermline
08 Aug 2002

Two new showhomes are now open at CALA’s Duloch Grange development in Dunfermline.

Designed by Marren of Cambridge, the two showhomes are both stylish but quite individual in appearance acknowledging the wide range of house purchasers already attracted to the popular development, which is CALA’s third in the cathedral town.

The four bedroom Carlyle showhome is dynamic and contemporary in design, which will appeal in particular to professional singles and couples currently living in the town or across the central belt. Indeed, as at CALA’s second development in the town, Milton Grange, Duloch Grange has already proven very popular with people working in Edinburgh who want to find a spacious home built to exacting standards and priced more reasonably than in the heady property market of the capital.

The five bedroom Maxwell showhome has been designed to exploit the features which make the housetype such an attractive family home.

The Carlyle

Taking a look first inside the Carlyle showhome, visitors will find the spacious drawing room has been given an Oriental theme with tones of grey, white and silver across the furnishings, which include soft lights, suede covered furniture and dark accessories.

The grey tones continue in the spacious kitchen, which also features a contemporary look with beech designer units with chrome detail and grey Amtico marbled flooring. The kitchen itself opens out into a family room with French doors opening out onto the rear garden.

The separate dining room has been arranged for formal entertaining. A long glass dining table is furnished with high backed chairs and the colours of grey and silver again complement the drawing room and give a feeling of continuity across the home.

On the first floor, the master and second bedrooms each boast an en-suite. All four bedrooms continue with the colour themes of the ground floor whilst benefiting from individual colour touches - a splash of cerise in the master bedroom, hints of green in the guest bedroom, which looks out over the rear garden, and lilacs in the third bedroom. The fourth bedroom has been furnished as a study, which could be used as a quiet retreat or a base for homeworking.

The Maxwell

In the Maxwell showhome, yellow and white hues ensure that this home too feels light and airy.

The drawing room features pale yellow accentuated with matching soft colours and soft lights - you can almost smell the Vanilla atmosphere. The designer-fitted kitchen boasts marble-styled floors and clean white lines.

Upstairs, the master bedroom benefits from lots of natural light, which is exploited by yellow walls with beige floral detail and curtains and bedding with matching sunflowers.

The guest bedroom, as in the Carlyle, also boasts an en-suite and whilst similarly oozing a warm feeling, the room has been given a contemporary edge with soft lights and chrome detailing.

The additional bedrooms also feel restful and stylish with yellow tones and splashes of complementary colours.

Duloch Grange

There are 53 four and five bedroom family homes designed in twelve housetypes from CALA’s award-winning Lauriston portfolio at Duloch Grange and some of these housetypes are being built in Scotland for the first time.

Set amidst quiet surroundings, the development itself is perfectly placed for commuters with the Forth Road Bridge only a mere five minutes’ drive. It is also ideally located for those looking for somewhere tranquil to live close to the amenities of Dunfermline and environs.

Prices at Duloch Grange start at £188,000.

The new showhomes are open from Thursday to Monday inclusive, 11:00am to 5.30pm.Telephone 01383 624790 for further details.
