Clydesdale Bank Exchange, a £30 million Grade A office development in Glasgow, has proven to be one of the most successful commercial property projects completed in the city in recent years. Comprising nearly 100,000 sq ft of Grade A space, Clydesdale Bank Exchange occupies a prominent corner location and is arranged over 9 levels, offering flexible and (virtually) column free floor plates.
The development's potential was recognised by German capital investment fund, Internationales Immobilien-Institut GmbH (iii-investments) which provided funding for their first speculate pre-funding deal in the UK outside London.
Hymans Robertson, consultants and actuaries, were the first tenants at Clydesdale Bank Exchange, pre-letting two floors totalling over 26,500 sq ft. Shortly after, the Clydesdale Bank secured three floors for their new Financial Solutions Centre. This tenancy led to the renaming of the building from Central Exchange to Clydesdale Bank Exchange.
Clydesdale Bank Exchange was awarded 'Commercial Development of the Year' at the Scottish Property Week Awards. Following this success, CALA Properties swiftly let the remaining office space to Weir Group Plc, A&S Ireland and Associated Newspapers Ltd.
