The couple were on their way to the centre of Peterborough one weekend to look for a rental apartment, when their trip ended with them purchasing a brand new five-bedroom home at CALA Homes’ The Mallards development in Hampton Vale.
The range of homes on offer at the development on Nature’s Way caught the eye of Femi and Esther, who were looking for an apartment in the area after Esther was offered a new job nearby and needed to relocate immediately. Femi said: “We were visiting Peterborough to look for a suitable new apartment for Esther to rent after she was offered a fantastic work opportunity in the city. We had got a bit lost, and a wrong turn took us into the Hampton Vale area. We noticed the signage for the CALA Homes development so did a quick drive by to see what it was like. Needless to say, we were impressed.
“We are completely new to the area and Esther’s new job meant we needed to find accommodation straight away, so we thought that looking for a place to rent would be our only option. We visited the sales centre at The Mallards and the sales team were extremely helpful.
“Although we loved the homes on offer, we thought we would have to sell our Lincolnshire home before becoming a suitable buyer for a new home, but they explained all about CALA’s 100% Part Exchange scheme. It gave us the opportunity to secure our brand new home without the headache of selling our existing property on the open market. It was a real blessing and prevented us from having to venture into the uncertainty of selling our house, before we could confidently view suitable new homes in the Peterborough area.”
Femi, who works as a mechanical engineer in charge of asset management and new construction projects for a Government organisation, and Esther, who works as a pharmaceutical scientist, moved into a brand new five-bedroom, three storey townhouse with an integrated garage.
Esther added: “We have settled into our new home really well, and we would recommend a CALA Home to anyone, without a doubt. It was an excellent experience as we were able to agree a deal which met our requirements and within a reasonable timeframe, without us having to commit to a lengthy rental agreement. The sales team kept us up to date throughout the process, which we found to be very helpful, polite and hassle-free. Who would have thought that a wrong turn would lead us to a fantastic new home, but we’re so glad that it did!”
