Founded in 1927 and based at Chelmsley Town FC on Coleshill Road in Marston Green, the club is currently positioned in division four of the Birmingham Football Association and has recently progressed from an under 21 aged team to an open age level squad. As a result, the team were in need of new tracksuits.
CALA Homes, which has its Midlands regional office based on Arleston Way in Solihull, has donated funds to the club to support the purchase of new branded tracksuits for the team.
The donation is part of the CALA Homes’ commitment to support local communities. This particular cause was brought to CALA’s attention through one of its employees, Maintenance Technician, Duane Crabtree, who is the manager of Chelmsley Town FC.
Commenting on the donation, Duane said: “The team is so grateful to CALA Homes for its sponsorship support, which has enabled us to upgrade our tracksuits for training and match days. At Chelmsley Town FC we offer our players a positive outlook and a chance to benefit from playing in a team. We have found this teamwork helps our players to grow in confidence, which benefits them both in their personal and professional lives”.
Mark Wright, Managing Director for CALA Homes (Midlands) said: “At CALA, we strive to make communities, not just build homes, so being able to play an active role in our community is part of our ethos. Chelmsley Town FC provides a fantastic avenue for talented young players to get into football and I hope that the new tracksuits will serve the team well this season.”
CALA Homes has a range of stunning new homes available in and around the region, including in Shipston-on-Stour, Rugby, Leigh Sinton, Barnt Green, Hagley and Milton Keynes.
