The development, which will be known as CALA at Kingsmere, will feature a collection of two to five-bedroom homes that are suitable for families, downsizers and first-time buyers alike. The homes will boast CALA Homes’ high quality specification throughout and each have been carefully designed to be light and spacious.
The new development, set to launch in summer 2019, is situated off Middleton Stoney Road and is part of the second phase of development at the wider Kingsmere scheme. Located on the south-western edge of Bicester, Kingsmere is a thriving residential development being delivered by Countryside Properties which, once complete, will boast a new secondary school, two primary schools, a village centre with shops, a community and youth centre, a sports village, several parks and green open spaces.
CALA Homes has recently launched the 2019 Community Bursary which invites local charities, schools, community projects and good causes across Oxfordshire to apply for a share of £15,000. The initiative, which is now in its third year, aims to provide support for a wide range of organisations and projects within the communities in which CALA builds. Organisations are encouraged to apply for a share of the bursary on the CALA Homes website.
Neil Simpson, Sales and Marketing Director for CALA Homes (Midlands), commented: “We are delighted to be commencing the construction work on our CALA at Kingsmere development and we’ll continue to work extremely hard to produce an impressive site that meets the needs and aspiration of local residents and interested purchasers. CALA at Kingsmere is our first development in Bicester and the site represents our further investment into the Oxfordshire area and forms part of our long term plan to expand into prime areas along the M5 and M40 corridor.
“Bicester is a highly aspirational town and with its close proximity to major cities, not to mention the excellent transport connection and upcoming education, and our CALA at Kingsmere development will offer everything that families and commuters will desire.”
Ideally situated for both families and commuters, Kingsmere is located just 12 miles from Oxford and is comfortably commutable to London and Birmingham within an hour. As part of the scheme, Countryside Properties is also contributing major investments towards improving infrastructure is and around Bicester which includes public transport, education, library services and highway improvements. An enhanced local bus service runs directly through the new site providing a link to nearby Bicester town centre and beyond to Oxford.
