During the visit, the Witham MP met with Duncan Jackson, Managing Director at CALA Homes (North Home Counties), to undertake a tour of the site to see first-hand how the development has taken shape. She also received an in-depth briefing on the site’s progress to date, was shown a scale model of the completed development, and heard from CALA on the key milestones achieved to date - including how the second phase of the development has been launched two months ahead of schedule, due to popular demand.
Furly Meadows is a modern development featuring a collection of 50 two to five bedroom homes. Since its launch in September 2018, the development has proven popular with homebuyers, with 75% of homes having sold to date. Of this, 20% of the homes have been sold through the CALA Homes up to 100% Part Exchange service, whilst a total of 65% of homes were snapped up using Help to Buy.
Commenting on the visit, The Rt. Hon. Priti Patel MP, said: “It was a pleasure to visit CALA Homes’ new Furly Meadows development in my constituency, and my thanks go to Duncan and his team for an interesting and informative visit. It was good to hear how the development has been progressing to date and how these new homes are helping to meet housing needs in the local area.”
Duncan Jackson, said: “We were delighted that Ms Patel was able to join us at Furly Meadows to see first-hand the progress we are making on the new site. With 75% of the homes at the development now sold, Furly Meadows is proving to be a popular choice for a variety of purchasers, from young professionals and downsizers, to growing families looking for more contemporary, yet practical living. With our first residents now settled into their new homes, and following the launch of our second phase of homes ahead of schedule, we’re witnessing this new community go from strength-to-strength.”
