James comes to CALA with a wealth of experience, with nearly 20 years in the industry, and was most recently head of land at Avant Homes.
He will spearhead CALA’s drive to acquire more sites in aspirational locations across the East Midlands with a strategic focus on the M1 corridor between Milton Keynes and Nottinghamshire.
The move is something of a home-coming for James who first joined CALA as a land graduate in 2001. He comments: “I’m incredibly excited to be joining CALA at a time when the Midlands region is looking for considerable growth in a patch I know so well. CALA has an enviable reputation for the quality of its properties and its sensitive approach to development. Our focus will be on sites in premium locations with strong commuter links and access to good local schools and facilities.”
Mark Wright, Regional Managing Director for CALA Homes Midlands, comments: “We are delighted to be welcoming James to the team. We will be investing significantly in new sites in the East Midlands over the next two to three years and having someone of James’ calibre on board will help ensure we meet our growth ambitions.
“We look forward to expanding our business in the region, working closely with landowners and local planners to bring forward sustainable sites for development and making a positive contribution to the local communities in which we build.”
