CALA strikes the right note with local school sponsorship

Award-winning housebuilder CALA Homes has donated £500 to Friends of Woodlands Meed to sponsor the school’s Family Friendly Music Festival which took place on Saturday 22nd June.

The event was organised by Friends of Woodlands Meed, a registered charity which raises money for Woodlands Meed throughout the year. 

Woodlands Meed is a Special School and College for children and young people aged two to 19 years, which supports pupils with a wide range of special needs. The school and college site form a generic special school for children and young people with Statements of Special Educational Needs or Education and Health Care Plans. It provides individual educational programmes for each pupil to meet their specific and often complex needs. 

Kate Halls, volunteer for Friends of Woodlands Meed, said:  “We are extremely grateful for the sponsorship and support from CALA Homes for our first ever Family Friendly Music Festival. Each year, Friends of Woodlands Meed put all their efforts in to raising money for the school and college, which is always greatly appreciated by the staff and children. The event was a huge success and it was fantastic to bring together parents, pupils and the wider community to enjoy the festivities. We’d like to say thank you to CALA Homes for playing a part in making this event a memorable one.”
