With the region embarking on an ambitious land acquisition programme last year, Vikki’s appointment is a direct response of the success to date. With more sites in the pipeline, Vikki has been brought on board to ensure these schemes are successfully delivered through the planning process.
Vikki spent the first six years of her career as an architect. During this time, she was also given a taste of working in planning and, after discovering a passion for it, she eventually retrained by completing a Masters degree in Planning, whilst working for consultants Barton Wilmore. Most recently, Vikki has spent the last four years at Persimmon Homes, where she gained experience of managing planning applications for high-volume sites.
In her new role, Vikki will be responsible for managing a portfolio of sites and nursing them through the planning process. From advising the internal team on the planning complexities of a site, to managing key external stakeholders, her role is vital in ensuring a suitable proposal is submitted.
Vikki, comments: “I was relishing a new challenge and with the region fully immersed in its transformational strategy, it’s an exciting time to join CALA Chiltern. With its focus moving towards medium-sized developments, my experience of dealing with larger schemes will really come into use and I’m looking forward to supporting the region in its journey.”
