Now in its third year, the top ten housebuilder has recruited eleven graduates into the programme who will be based at CALA’s head office in Edinburgh and within the regional teams in East, West, Midlands, Chiltern, North Home Counties, Thames and South Home Counties.
Over the next 12 months, the graduates will work within CALA’s Land, Commercial, Technical and IT departments, receiving the comprehensive induction and training which will equip them with the necessary skills to embark on an aspiring career path within the dynamic and varied housebuilding sector.
Commenting on the Graduate Development Programme, CALA’s Chief Executive, Alan Brown, said, “CALA has just announced its fifth consecutive year of record financial results and our growth strategy to deliver approximately 2500 new homes per year by 2020, remains firmly on track. Of course, this simply wouldn’t be possible without us having the right teams in place and ensuring ongoing investment in our people through training and development.
“Our Graduate Development Programme plays an important role in encouraging new talent into the business and developing our future leaders. We’ve continued to evolve and improve the programme, and once again, we have another new team of exceptional, talented and ambitious graduates joining CALA. It’s a challenging programme, but one we feel will enable graduates to excel and forge a long and successful career with CALA.
“Few industries are as dynamic and fast-moving as housebuilding, or provide such a diverse range of career opportunities. At CALA, we offer challenging and rewarding roles, the opportunity to work as a team with other specialists and fantastic career progression and personal growth opportunities.”
CALA directly employs almost 1000 people and provides employment for thousands of sub-contractors on its developments across England and Scotland.
The application process for the 2018 Graduate Development Programme opens this month. Perfect for those seeking a career across the broad range of disciplines in the construction industry, the programme is an opportunity for candidates to put into practice the knowledge and understanding they have developed through their academic studies.
