Community Consultation

At CALA, we adopt a collaborative approach to planning, taking into consideration the needs of local communities, local planning authorities and future generations to create the right solution for the local area.

We engage early and give local communities the chance to provide feedback. In 2017/18, community consultations were carried out on all developments that received a planning permission and those of 40 homes or more.

All feedback is captured in a statement of community involvement, which is submitted with our planning application and we look to address any areas of concern wherever we can.

This often includes education provision, transport and infrastructure improvements, local sports provision and community facilities.

As well as our national Community Bursary scheme, CALA supports local communities through sponsorship, donations, fundraising and local schools projects.
