Health and safety

The health and safety of our employees, contractors, customers, the general public and anyone else who may be affected by our operations is of paramount importance to CALA.

Health and safety excellence is inherent in our culture and an integral part of our day-to-day business operations. We work closely with both direct employees and our subcontractor partners to promote a cooperative, partnership approach that is vital in ensuring we maintain our strong health and safety record.

Our comprehensive health and safety management system covers monitoring, staff training and management reporting. We have a highly experienced health and safety team who frequently carry out on-site inspections as well as coaching and mentoring visits to ensure our site-based employees have a thorough and practical understanding of our health and safety requirements.

Good communication is key to effective health and safety. We regularly run internal communications campaigns to reinforce our message and issue health and safety bulletins to raise awareness of incidents both within and outside the business. We have a confidential freephone number and email address that employees and subcontractors can use if they have any health and safety concerns.
