Individually and collectively, our directors visit our operating regions and sites frequently and engage with employees on a one-to-one basis in order to get feedback from our people and keep their finger on the pulse of the business.
In 2018, the growth has driven our increased training delivery, with investment over 15% higher than in the previous year. This included the introduction of an enhanced induction process for sales, construction and customer service staff, ensuring that new employees are educated and trained to the high standards the business adopts from the outset.
We are committed to playing our part in encouraging people into our industry and addressing a national skills shortage. We are active with both The Prince’s Trust and the Home Building Skills Partnership. CALA also runs an apprenticeship scheme and a graduate development programme.
