DESIRABLE LEAFY VILLAGE

The charming village of Riseley is neatly placed on the fringes of Berkshire and Hampshire’s picturesque countryside, close to the major centres of Reading, Wokingham and Basingstoke.

Via a public path, you can stroll down to play, relax and enjoy fun family events in the 350 acres of Wellington Country Park, or stock up on home grown produce from Wellington Farm Shop. While The Duke of Wellington’s former country residence can also be found nearby at Stratfield Saye Park, along with its ornate formal gardens.

Amenities available in Riseley include the village hall, traditional pub and extensive playing fields. You needn’t venture far to take advantage of all kinds of high street shops, bars, restaurants, leisure facilities and cultural attractions, with both Wokingham and Reading close to home. The area enjoys an active community too, with plenty of local sports clubs and a wide selection of golf courses to choose from, such as Maywood Golf Club.

Choosing the right school is also made easier, with a number of ‘good’ schools nearby, including Whitewater CofE Primary, Robert May’s Secondary and Daneshill Independent School.

WELL CONNECTED

Whether you’re commuting to the office or getting away for the weekend, Dukes Meadow offers the perfect semi-rural retreat. Here you can enjoy the best of both worlds, with the A33 running through the village, leading straight to the M4, just seven miles away. While for routes south towards Winchester, the M3 is also within close reach.

The capital is approximately 46 miles by car, or you can catch a direct train from Reading station to London Paddington in approximately 30 minutes and from Wokingham station in around 50 minutes. Dukes Meadow isn’t just well connected for the working week, as you can take off right across the globe from London Heathrow Airport, which is located about 31 miles from Riseley.

What’s more, Crossrail will be available from Reading station, which will provide two trains every hour allowing passengers to travel right through central London without having to change, as well as being able to reach Heathrow in around 38 minutes.
