Andlers Ash Road, Liss

CALA Homes (Thames) will be submitting a full planning application to East Hampshire District Council for a development of 76 new homes in the Hampshire village of Liss.

Andlers Ash Road, Liss Thames

Our Proposals

The development site, off Andlers Ash Road, to the south west of the village centre, is currently used as part of the Hillier Field Tree Nursery. Subject to the outcome of the planning application CALA Homes hopes to transform the site into two distinct developments providing one to four bedroom homes.

The proposed development responds to the allocation of sites 3B and 3C in the Liss Neighbourhood Plan. The Neighbourhood Plan sets out four key requirements which CALA Homes are aiming to meet:

  • To create two high quality developments with individual characters of 38 units on each site which make a positive contribution to the architectural quality of Liss
  • The development must be set back a minimum of 10m from Andlers Ash Road
  • The development must retain the feeling of open space along Andlers Ash Road, allowing clear views through to the countryside beyond and maintaining a ‘green feel’ along the Road, particularly with significant tree planting
  • The area of open space between the two sites should be suitable for informal recreational use, and as a green link for wildlife.

CALA Homes have designed the proposals to integrate with Liss, and the two sites have been designed to provide varying character. It is anticipated the application will also be reviewed by the South Downs National Park Authority when determining the application.
