Planning & Policy

Long Marston Airfield is allocated in Stratford-on-Avon's Core Strategy, which was adopted in July 2016.

Long Martson Airfield also has Garden Village status, having been accepted by the Government in January 2017 as one of just 14 such proposals across England. Our successful bid may be accessed here. To find out more about the Garden Villages programme, please click here.

Outline planning permission was granted in February 2017 for the first phase of Long Marston Airfield of up to 400 homes, together with employment, community and open space uses. The decision notice and key documents can be accessed from the Council's website. CALA presented its detailed design proposals for the 400 homes to the local community in September 2017. A reserved matters application has now been submitted, and you can view the exhibition materials here

A draft Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) has recently been prepared and can be viewed here. This document has been published by Stratford-on-Avon District Council for consultation, and comments are invited by 1st December via the Council's website.
