At CALA we aim to build not just homes but vibrant, exciting new communities. This starts as soon as we buy a piece of land. We adopt a collaborative approach to planning, taking into consideration the needs of local communities, local planning authorities and future homeowners to create the right development solution for the local area.
We engage early and give local communities the chance to provide feedback on our development proposals through public consultation programmes. All feedback is captured in a statement of community involvement, which is submitted with our planning application, and we always look to address any areas of concern wherever we can.
We build long-term partnerships during the life of our developments. Schools outreach programmes include presentations on site safety, educational visits to our sites, and informing young people on the career opportunities in housebuilding. We get involved in local community events and support local initiatives.
Buying a new CALA home means becoming part of a new and inclusive community. Many of our developments come with their own leisure facilities, schools, play areas and public open space.
