Balgraystone Road, Barrhead


Cala Homes (West) have successfully secured planning permission for residential-led development on Balgraystone Road in Barrhead. Adjacent to Springfield Road and Aurs Road, to the north of Balgray Reservoir, the development will see the creation of 346 new homes which will benefit from improved transport links, including a new train station, as part of the wider infrastructure redevelopment of the area that is being majority funded by the Glasgow City Region City Deal in partnership East Renfrewshire Council.

Our Proposal

Cala Homes (West) are delighted to have completed the purchase of a site at Balgraystone Road in Barrhead which has received planning approval for residential development.

The site is allocated for residential development in the East Renfrewshire Local Development Plan 2 and is located on Balgraystone Road, between Springfield Road and Aurs Road, and adjacent to Balgray Reservoir on the southern side of Barrhead.

 

Our Development Plan

Our approved planning application outlines the development of 346 new homes, which will include a mix of terraced, semi-detached and detached properties, ranging from two to five bedroom homes.

Our development plans also include the provision of a neighbourhood retail facility, as well as generous greenspace and attractive landscaping with a village green and children's play areas.

The development will also benefit from convenient access to the newly proposed Balgray train station, which when complete, will serve as a new stop between Patterton and Neilston, providing improved public transport links between Barrhead, the Dams to Darnley Country Park, and Glasgow.
