It’s a short walk, approximately 4.25km, combining a forest trail with views and open landscapes. You’ll enjoy views towards Deeside and you can reach Brimmond Hill on this path too if you’re looking for circular walks in Aberdeen or hikes.
Forest Farm Dairy
Everyone enjoys ice cream whatever the weather, so why not stop for a treat after your walk? Forest Farm is an award-winning, organic dairy in Aberdeenshire where you can visit the gelateria and choose your favourite flavour. The family business opened in 1998 as Scotland’s first organic dairy farm and has grown into a firm favourite with locals – this is not one to miss!

Despite it only being a few minutes from town, you’ll feel like you’re deep in the countryside when you’re walking along the River Don. If you enjoy spotting wildlife and you’re looking for a peaceful and fairly level route, then this is the walk for you. There are always plenty of animals to see, which will keep the children happy, and it’s also one of the most scenic dogs walks in Aberdeen.
