Land and Building Transaction Tax calculator

Following a Scottish Government reform in 2015, Stamp Duty in Scotland is now known as 'Land and Buildings Transaction Tax' (LBTT).

LBTT is a tax that homebuyers usually pay upon purchasing land or a property in Scotland. The amount of tax you pay varies depending on the price banding of the property, and whether its the your first, next or an additional property.

Furthermore, the Scottish Government has increased the threshold at which you start paying LBTT to properties of £250,000 or below, and purchased on or before 31 March 2021.
