Stay Safe, Stay Away offers primary schools an interactive session covering the history of building houses as well as the variety of fantastic and varied career opportunities within the industry, as well educating pupils about the dangers of going into construction areas unsupervised.
Land To Life is a curriculum-based schools project aimed at 7-11 year olds. The comprehensive suite of teachers’ notes and detailed lesson plans aims to educate children on how new communities are created, from land acquisition through to sales and marketing.
‘Take a book, leave a book’ is the motto for the lending library installed at our Wintringham development in St Neots. The library is stocked full of books to be borrowed and enjoyed by members of the local community and designed by local children attending Wintringham Primary School.
The St Neots Food Festival, held at St Neots Rugby Club has been running for the past 3 years with a huge number of approximately 6,000 people attending each year. In the summer of 2023, Cala helped the town to celebrate this momentous occasion by donating £250 to this much loved community event.
After 15 years without a carnival, St Neots Festival brought the 'spirit' of the carnival back to the beautiful town of St Neots with a parade which took place on 24th & 25th June 2023 in Priory Park, organised by the St Neots Arts charity, Neotists. The Cala at Wintringham team attended and got involved in this festival supporting the local community and being part of the celebrations. We also donated £1,000 to this enjoyable event.
We donated £70 worth of groceries to St Neots Foodbank. The communities around our developments are so important to bringing our homes to life, which is why investing in our Community Pledge is a priority for us. It’s our way of giving back to the residents. From working with local charities to youth groups, we aim to increase awareness of the causes that mean the most to all of the people living in and around our developments.
