Cala Homes (West) together with Celeros Flow Technology (Celeros FT) have successfully secured planning permission for the partial redevelopment of surplus factory buildings on Inverlair Avenue, Cathcart.

Our Proposal

We are delighted to have received planning approval for the development of 254 apartments in Glasgow's vibrant Southside.

Around £61m will be invested by Cala into The Foundry development on Inverlair Avenue in Cathcart which will see the creation of much-needed quality-designed apartments focused on space and energy efficiency. The development of 1-3 bedroom apartments, which will include a selection of bespoke 2 and 3 bedroom penthouses, will also provide more green space to the neighbourhood, with valuable landscaped gardens that include play areas and seating nestled amidst native plants to support biodiversity.

The 5.87 acre site is currently owned by Celeros FT and was previously used by its ClydeUnion Pumps business. The American-headquartered company appointed Cala Homes (West) as its preferred residential development delivery partner in October 2022, with an ambition to deliver a new-build residential development on the surplus land.

The development will directly create 130+ jobs during the construction phase, whilst a further 120+ roles will be indirectly supported, and once delivered, it is projected to provide an economic boost of over £5.7m annually from new local residents.
