Our proposal...

We are delighted to have submitted planning for the development of 277 apartments, landscaping, and associated amenities to Glasgow’s vibrant southside.

The Cathcart site is currently owned by Celeros FT and was previously used by its ClydeUnion Pumps business. The American-headquartered company appointed Cala Homes (West) as its preferred residential development delivery partner in October 2022, with an ambition to deliver a new-build residential development on the surplus land.

If the planning application is successful, Cala will be looking to invest £67m into the site, which will secure over 1,000 jobs during the construction period, delivering an additional economic boost of over £6 million annually.

The much-needed new apartments will be spacious, energy efficient and cater to the needs of a range of households. The development will provide more green space to the neighbourhood, with valuable landscaped gardens that include play areas and seating nestled amidst native plants to support biodiversity.

The external designs have been carefully considered to be complementary to the site surroundings and are proposed to enhance the current streetscape.

The proposed development of 277 sustainable apartments are being designed to maximise amenity space whilst incorporating pedestrian cycle friendly routes where possible.

Our proposals will include shared and private open spaces that will be landscaped and integrate seating areas and parking within the design.
