Powering your Cala home with Solar Panels

How we power our homes has a huge impact on the amount of CO2 emissions we produce and our carbon footprint.

A major part of our Sustainability Strategy is creating ever more energy efficient, lower carbon homes on our new developments and providing our customers with greener ways to power their homes.

One way of making our homes more sustainable is through the installation of solar photovoltaic (PV) panels. Solar PV systems are becoming increasingly popular as a source of clean, renewable energy and can help reduce dependence on non-renewable energy sources such as coal, oil, and natural gas.

Generating electricity from solar panels is a great way to reduce the carbon footprint of our homes and on top of that, not only do solar panels help to improve energy efficiency, but they also have the potential to earn money from any surplus electricity generated.

PVs will be a big part of our future and that’s why at Cala we are proactively installing the technology to provide our customers with the opportunity to do their part in the fight against climate change.

Solar panels and your Cala home

Cala has installed solar PV panels at numerous developments, due to potential constraints with the network in some areas, they may not be available at all sites. Customers should speak with their sales consultant and read the specifications for their chosen development to see what green technology is available and suitable for their home.

New technology such as solar panels is just one of the benefits of buying a new build home. To read about more reasons why buying new could be for you, click here.
