Our South Home Counties region further bolsters its senior leadership team with internal promotion of new Sales and Marketing Director

Our South Home Counties region has announced the appointment of Rupert Home as Managing Director and the promotion of Liz Stone to Sales and Marketing Director. Alongside the existing team, these moves will support our ambitious plans for growth across East Hampshire, Surrey, Sussex, Kent, and the South London boroughs.

Rupert will oversee delivery of these strategic growth objectives, with a focus on strengthening Cala’s presence in Kent – where we recently acquired a new Tonbridge site, with the potential for 125 homes. Rupert will draw on his extensive land and planning expertise and strong relationships with development agents, landowners and local authorities across the region to accelerate South Home Counties’ growth trajectory. The team is seeking new land opportunities as we aim to deliver 600 homes per year by 2026, through both our Cala Homes and Legal & General Homes brands.

Rupert brings over 12 years’ industry experience to his new role at Cala. He was previously Land and Planning Director at Countryside PLC (southern region), and prior to this, Land and Development Director at Dandara South East Ltd.

Rupert Home, Managing Director of Cala Homes (South Home Counties) said: “It’s an exciting time to be joining Cala. The South Home Counties business is in a strong position, having contracted on more than 950 homes so far this year. The recent relocation of our regional head office to Dorking perfectly positions us to capitalise on the substantial demand for high-quality housing throughout the Southern Home Counties.

“Our focus moving forward is to build upon Cala’s success in East Hampshire, Surrey, and West Sussex, where the team has delivered 2,400 homes since 2014, creating well-designed and thriving new communities. This is a legacy to be proud of, and as we forge new relationships and look for opportunities to expand the business into Kent and East Sussex, I am confident that there will be strong demand for Cala’s exceptionally designed homes.”

Alongside Rupert’s appointment, we announced the internal promotion of Liz Stone to Sales and Marketing Director for South Home Counties. Liz has moved across from our Thames region, where she was Sales Manager for over four years, building a strong appreciation for the quality of Cala’s design and construction, and the five-star service we provide to customers. Liz’s promotion is testament to Cala’s commitment to supporting our employees to pursue opportunities and fulfil their own growth ambitions.

Rupert added: “With her market expertise, a strong understanding of our customer profile, and of our two brands - Cala Homes and Legal & General Homes - Liz will play a key role in helping to shape the strategy for the region’s delivery of much needed new housing.”
