10 local businesses were selected to inspire our latest view apartment. From artists to home fragrance creators, garden centres and artisan retailers, our Showhome of Support initiative allows us to support locally, and showcases wonderful local businesses to visitors and homeowners.
Stay Safe, Stay Away offers primary schools an interactive session covering the history of building houses as well as the variety of fantastic and varied career opportunities within the industry, as well educating pupils about the dangers of going into construction areas unsupervised.
Along with 600 other runners - two members of the Cala North Home Counties team ran the Tiptree10 Road Runners’ 35th annual race on the 8th October 2023 in support of local Essex charities; Kid's Inspire, Tiptree Foodbank, Jogon Again and Active Essex Foundation. We donated £500 in support of the event.
A donation of £375 was made to the Kelvedon in Bloom committee - who are responsible for supplying, planting and maintaining the floral arrangements around the village. The donation covered the cost of new plants and flowers that will be enjoyed by the villagers for the year ahead.
Land To Life is a curriculum-based schools project aimed at 7-11 year olds. The comprehensive suite of teachers’ notes and detailed lesson plans aims to educate children on how new communities are created, from land acquisition through to sales and marketing.
In the spirit of community and our commitment to the environment, we partnered with the ‘Kelvedon Litter Pickers’ and gave the village a good spring clean. We want to listen, take action and make a difference in the community, so it was great to meet and chat with some brilliant local residents who share our passion for keeping the environment clean.
Protect and enhance existing and new wildlife habitats within the site, protect species including hedgehogs, birds, bats, reptiles, invertebrates as well as native flora, and green open spaces which includes an ecological protection area, a childrens’ play area and a pond.
A donation of £1,000 to Witham Town FCs under-nine seven-a-side team has allowed the team to purchase smart new kits, complete with the Cala logo, helping the team look and feel professional in training and on match days.
St Mary the Virgin Church, Kelvedon hosts an annual fete every July in the church yard. This is an important occasion as it is the main fundraising event of the year, where they try to bring together the local community. The fete took place on Saturday 1st July and Cala donated £75 towards the cost of refreshments for the beer and wine tent which contributed in making a profit of £765 towards the maintenance of the fabric of the Church.
