Our proposal
In summary, the proposals include;
• Residential Development of 49 homes, comprising 37 homes for sale and 12 for Social Rent
• The site was formally issued Detailed Planning Permission on 7th December 2022, this followed the conclusion of a Section 75 & Section 69 Agreement.

Delivery Programme
Key Dates
- Site commenced from w/c 27th February 2023. These initial works involved tree removal and site preparation for the demolition phase.
- The demolition phase is due to be complete w/c 5th June. Site earthworks will commence thereafter and be complete by middle of July.
- Installation of new Drainage and infrastructure works on a section of Watertoun Road closest to the site will commence July 2023 and will be complete by August 2023.
- Housebuild works will commence thereafter from August 2023.
Demolition Phase
- The demolition phase has now been completed by Central Demolition. The contractor was able to re-use various materials and donated these to Five Sisters Zoo in West Lothian, namely;
- Swimming pool pump being reused in the Penguin enclosure
- Large quantities of timber is being reused in the bear enclosure
- The climbing ropes from the former school gym are being reused in the monkey enclosure
- Other materials have been reused more locally
Community Work
- We are keen to hear about any local community benefit schemes that we can assist with while we are working in the area.
Future Updates
- As the site is developed, future progress reports will be provided via this website on the development including key stages of house build and any infrastructure works.
