A career in housebuilding can be incredibly versatile; from sourcing sustainable land for development, to designing new homes and producing digital marketing strategies. There are also a wide range of specialist roles that aren’t directly linked to building and selling homes, in departments such as HR, legal and finance.

Our Early Career Pathways

Placements

Placements are a great way to showcase your skills and get real life experience. Cala currently offer short term paid placements of 3, 6, 9 or 12 months with a variety of departments.

Degree Apprenticeships

Our Degree Apprenticeships/Graduate Apprenticeships (Scotland) allow you to earn while you learn. You will study towards a degree qualification, which directly relates to your role at Cala.

Graduate Programme

Our Graduate Development Programme offers the opportunity to join Cala on a permanent contract while benefitting from a bespoke development route through your first two years of employment.

Trade Apprenticeships

We currently employ a small number of apprentices. Most of our apprentice roles will come through our construction subcontractor partners. Details of available construction trades roles will also be detailed on CITB.
