We are committed to bringing added value and meaningful benefit to the communities in which we build, not just through the homes we create, but by investing and enhancing in the very essence of what brings a local community together. We want to listen, take action and make a difference.

To reflect our commitment to our communities over the lifecycle of our developments, we have introduced our Community Pledge. Our Pledges bring together a host of bespoke measures for each local community including activities, donations, initiatives, volunteering drives and much more.

The Community Pledge goes above and beyond planning obligations, in fact it's an evolution of work we’ve been doing for many years within the communities in which we build, ensuring that we support the local areas and people who live there.

Showhome of Support

Cala’s interior design team have selected 11 local businesses to feature in our 2 bedroom show apartment. From bespoke made furniture to local home interior stores, our Showhome of Support initiative allows us to support locally, and showcases wonderful local businesses. Read more below about all the fantastic local business we have incorporated into our Show apartment of Support

Land To Life

Land To Life is a curriculum-based schools project aimed at 7-11 year olds. The comprehensive suite of teachers’ notes and detailed lesson plans aims to educate children on how new communities are created, from land acquisition through to sales and marketing.

Stay Safe Stay Away

Stay Safe, Stay Away offers primary schools an interactive session covering the history of building houses, the variety of fantastic and varied career opportunities within the industry, as well as educating pupils about the dangers of going into construction areas unsupervised.

Urban Wildlife Strategy

Our Urban Wildlife Strategy outlines our commitment to incorporate wild-life supporting measures into every new development we build, such as bat roosting and bird nesting features, as well as hedgehog-friendly fences and invertebrate bricks for bees and other invertebrates.
